About Project

The Maili Tatu Affordable Housing Project is a Government of Kenya initiative under the Social Housing Programme, aimed at providing quality, affordable housing to low-income and middle-income households. Located in Maili Tatu, Saboti Constituency, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County—approximately 6 kilometres from Kitale CBD along The Kakamega–Kitale Road—the 2.5-hectare site offers excellent accessibility and proximity to essential urban amenities while maintaining a spacious, community-friendly environment. The development comprises 11 multi-storey residential blocks (5 × Block A and 6 × Block B) with a total of 1,035 units across a mix of social, affordable, and market housing typologies. Supporting facilities include commercial stalls with an integrated restaurant and gym, a kindergarten, a community centre, a playground, a power house, and waste management facilities, all served by modern infrastructure.
