About Project
The Kanduyi Affordable Housing Project in Bungoma County is a significant affordable housing scheme, part of the government's Affordable Housing Program. The development consists of 372 housing units distributed across four residential blocks (Block A, Block B1, Block B2, and Block C), with a strategic unit mix comprising 178 Affordable Housing (AHP) units, 74 Social units, and 120 Market units. This inclusive approach ensures housing options are available across different income segments, with 68% of units dedicated to affordable and social housing.
Beyond residential spaces, the project incorporates essential community infrastructure, including a kindergarten, community center, 13 commercial stalls, and comprehensive amenities such as parking facilities, green spaces, and modern utilities. Each unit category offers thoughtfully designed living spaces ranging from studio apartments (20m²) to spacious three-bedroom units (80m²), all featuring modern finishes and functional layouts. The project exemplifies the government's commitment to creating integrated, sustainable communities while stimulating local economic development through construction employment and permanent community facilities in Bungoma County.
