Kibera Soweto East Zone B in Nairobi is part of a social housing program that began with the completion of works in Kibera Soweto Zone A in 2014. The project is a collaboration between the State Department for Housing and Urban Development (SDHUD) and Intex Construction Limited, aimed at providing affordable social housing for lower-income families in the Kibera Soweto East B area. The scope of the project includes the development of 4,054 social housing units, consisting of 1,740 one-room units, 1,690 two-room units, and 624 three-room units. Kibera residents will be given priority during the allocation of these homes.
