Property Developers
Property developers are a key cog in the Affordable Housing Programme, delivering the supply of affordable housing units to the market

Overview
The Housing crisis in Kenya is caused by a shortage of affordable homes, with the housing shortage estimated at over two million homes.
There is a huge deficit in decent housing, especially for low and middle income households. Supply is mainly for the wealthy segment of the population.
The Affordable Housing Programme and the Housing Fund incorporated a three-pronged approach to resolve the housing crisis; focusing on the supply, demand and enabling environment.
The Affordable Housing Programme will facilitate the construction of large-scale Affordable Housing Projects by the private sector in partnership with the Government.
Property Developers will be facilitated through provision of land, tax incentives and aggregating demand from homeowners through Boma Yangu to construct housing projects at scale for Kenyans.
